UV-8601R

UV/LED cure acrylated urethane

Tough, flexible UV/LED bond for mixed substrates

UV-8601R is a low viscosity, light curing acrylic adhesive that bonds well to a wide variety of substrates and cures to a tough, flexible bond with excellent vibration and impact resistance. Cures at 365 or 405 nm.

In plain English

UV-8601R is the flexible UV/LED option for bonds that need vibration or impact tolerance beyond a rigid cationic epoxy.

Product fit

Why buyers choose this grade

More forgiving bond line

The cured profile is tough and flexible, with Shore A hardness rather than a hard Shore D epoxy profile.

Broad substrate range

It bonds metals, ceramics, glass, and plastics, which helps when the design is not all one material.

Quick LED-friendly cure

It is already tuned for common 365 and 405 nm LED setups with a 4 to 6 second optimal cure window.

Good fit for

  • Mixed-substrate bonds where movement or vibration can crack a brittle adhesive
  • Flexible seals, light encapsulation, and electronics that need shock tolerance
  • Programs using 365 or 405 nm LED cure equipment

Things to confirm first

  • If the design needs maximum rigidity, highest Tg, or 200°C-plus performance, a cationic epoxy grade is a better first look.
  • Flexible chemistry is great for shock loading, but it is not the same answer as a filled encapsulant for chip protection.
